On the heels of the November election, when Michigan voters voted decisively to ban wolf hunting, a federal judge threw out the Obama administration’s decision to remove Great Lakes gray wolves from the endangered species list. That means they can’t be hunted or trapped in Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
