Bert’s Bakery. (309 River St., Kalamazoo AND 4419 S. Westnedge Ave., Kalamazoo; 269-349-2091). Local bakery that offers vegan cakes and cupcakes, as well as a few flavors of vegan gelato. More info.

Confections with Convictions. (116 W. Crosstown Parkway, Kalamazoo; 269-381-9700). Large selection of vegan, fair-trade chocolates. More info.

The Den Partystore. (2917 Howard St., Kalamazoo; 269-381-5857).  Vegan sandwiches available. They offer at least one vegan patty (either the garlic quinoa and/or the Mediterranean chickpea from Morningstar Farms) and most of the breads are vegan. More info.

Earth Fare. (5070 S. Westnedge Ave., Portage; 269-343-4160). Supermarket with many vegan options, including “vegan ravioli that is great” and “the best curry faux chicken salad in town.” More info.

Fermented Foods CSA. Local fermented and pickled veggies delivered to your door. More info.

Free Love Bakery. (7620 S. Westnedge Ave., Portage; 269-216-3777). Gluten free bakery offering many vegan options including cinnamon rolls (with vegan frosting), gingersnaps, pecan/chocolate chip shortbread and coconut/ cranberry shortbread, focaccia, pizza crust and frosted sugar cookies. Irving’s Market & Deli. (125 S. Kalamazoo Mall; 269-344-4787). Sandwiches and paninis made from seasoned tofu, hummus, and other vegan ingredients. Usually offers at least a few hot and cold vegetable vegan dishes, along with salads. More info.

Kahoona’s Kitchen. Locally made healthy snacks for sale at farmers markets all around the southwest Michigan area. Many vegan options. More info.

Lush Gourmet Foods. Gourmet nuts and gifts. Order online or available at many locations in Michigan. More info.

Natural Heath Center. (4610 West Main, Kalamazoo; 269-342-9459). Grocery store with outstanding selection of vegan foods, ingredients, wellness products, and supplements, including some hard-to-find ones. Offers a Buyer’s Club with discounts.  More info.

Sawall Health Foods. (2965 Oakland Drive, Kalamazoo; 269-343-3619). Grocery store with lots of fresh and packaged vegan options. Sawall’s now features a Amorino Gelato shop, offering vegan sorbetto! More info.

Tiffany’s. (1714 West Main St., Kalamazoo; 269-381-1414). Beer and Wine store with a deli that always has at least one vegan option, such as a tempeh banh mi sandwich. More info.
